Business Development Manager

Tokyo, Hong Kong

Fusion Systems is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our growing financial trading technology company, Raptor Financial Technologies. Raptor is a leading low latency market access and risk management platform, servicing the world’s largest financial institutions and their high- value order flows. In this role, you will contribute in securing new business and delivering sales, both with new customers and existing accounts. A full-time position is currently available in both Tokyo and Hong Kong.

What you will be doing

  • Selling solutions/services and developing new business relationships with investment banks and proprietary trading firms in the electronic trading and risk management space

  • Operating in a hybrid role of new business and existing account expansion

  • Leading and driving opportunities through the end-to-end sales cycle with support of

    pre-sales, product management, finance, legal and other internal stakeholders

  • Demonstrating Raptor’s capability to new customers, developing proposals, negotiating

    contracts and closing the business

  • Active participation in sales and marketing conferences, sales collateral production and

    other marketing functions

  • Maintaining lead, opportunity, pipeline and management data/reports within a CRM

    system

  • Conducting win/loss analysis, maintaining strong awareness of the external market, to

    identify business opportunities

     

What you bring

  • Previous customer-orientated solution selling experience with exposure to managing relationships and/or processes

  • Active interest in the financial technology industry, and a combination of education, training, or work experience that enables you to navigate through the capital markets, banking and IT businesses

  • Excellent active listening, presentation and consultative sales skills

  • Hunting, networking and self-contained working mentality

  • Ability to partner effectively with the wider sales team and internal stakeholders

  • [Tokyo based role only] Fluent Japanese spoken and written ability
